Booster and Barda’s exchange is essentially what was instilled in me as a kid by my mother. We’ve been kicked around a lot as a family… long stretches of being laid off, weird domestic abuse issues involving people who aren’t even in our family, and just generally always coming up short when it mattered the most but still finding a way to get through anything. 

If you can laugh about it, it can’t hurt you or bring you down.
